Who is Craigy Cash?
Craigy Cash is, essentially, the mascot for Hardware...That's Us!. He was adopted when the company still went by Craigsville Cash Store and, at one time, had his very own coloring book that was offered here at the store. The newspaper clipping to the right from 1975 sums up his story perfectly.
It reads: Dock Hinkle Jr. and all the staff at Craigsville Cash Store proudly announce the arrival of Craigy Cash. The proud Mr. Hinkle said: "It is a new beginning for Craigy and a new beginning for Craigsville Cash Store."
"From now on," Mr. Hinkle added, "Craigy is going to be the store's eyes and ears. He will speak for us and listen for us so that we will continue to be sensitive to customer's needs and suggestions; he will be in the middle of our sales promotions and help plan our merchandising programs; he'll be bold enough to speak out on issues which he believes are for the public good. Craigy Cash will be our image."

Craigy wants to be the friend of both young and old; well-healed and not-so-well healed. To him, a customer at Craigsville Cash is the most important person in the world and he will do everything he can to let the customer know it. Craigy is a baptist; he is industrious, obedient, dependable and trustworthy.
Craigy is the new spirit and the new image at Craigsville Cash. We are celebrating his and want everybody to stop by and get one of his coloring books and free suckers and pencils for youngsters and free yardsticks for adults. Let Craigy be your friend!
